Winchester Christmas Market

Instead of visiting the bigger cities in the UK, why not try something slightly off the beaten track. Winchester is a beautiful city in Hampshire, which is situated on the edge of South Downs National Park, and also holds an annual Christmas from 20th November until 21st December.
This locally renowned market can be found in the close of Winchester Cathedral. This Cathedral is one of the most impressive Gothic cathedrals in Europe and creates a spectacular setting for this Christmas.

Opening Hours

November 21st until December 21st

Opening Night: Friday 21st November from 6pm to 9pm
Sunday to Wednesday: 10:00- 18:00
Thursday to Saturday: 10:00 – 19:30

Program

Lantern ParadeThe Christmas market is opened by a lantern parade, live music and firework display starting at 18:30 on 21st November

Ice SkatingThe open-air real ice rink is situated in the center of the Cathedral close, and is open from 20th November until 4th January from 10:00 until 19:30 daily.

The unique aspect of this market is that all exhibitors are chosen to display the finest British craftsmanship. Choose the perfect Christmas gift from unique products that cannot be found on the high street, and then pick up a traditional mince pie and mulled wine to complete the Christmassy feeling.
